Esteban Adame, PianistLegendary Los Angeles Poet Lorenzo Frank is an extremely popular and well respected writer, actor, and spoken word artist. Through his genuine love of the arts, he has provided space and opportunity for literally hundreds of poets to share their voices. Currently, Lorenzo continues to serve his community by hosting one of the longest running poetry venues in Los Angeles. SWAAM, which is an acronym for Spoken Word Art and Music. Nina Lares, VocalistFrom the age of 15, Nina Lares performed in nightclubs. She put out her first dance record at the age of 17 and has worked with a long list of electronic music's finest producers, DJs, & songwriters. She's released several club tracks, and her voice has been featured on numerous music compilations and dance records in the international underground dance community of house music. Her passionate, bright, yet sultry voice is that of a true vocal diva who sings anything from jazz & funk to dance and pop & rock music. |

Michael is a very astute musician, looking to make his mark and create his own path in this genre. Along with bringing his A-game each and every time he steps onto the stage, "He’s a student of improvisation." He’s a constant face on today’s L.A. Jazz scene. Mike Alvidrez, BassistAndrew Acosta, a renowned multi percussionist, was born and raised in the vibrant city of Chicago, Illinois. From his early years, it became apparent that Andrew’s destiny was intertwined with music, as he hails from a family deeply rooted in the symphony of melodies. Inheriting his love for rhythm from his parents, who were both accomplished musicians in their own right, Andrew fostered an unwavering passion for the art. With their guidance and nurturing, he delved into the world of percussion at a tender age and found his true calling. Throughout his illustrious career, Andrew collaborated with renowned composers and his skills of lending that extra touch of brilliance to every ensemble. His remarkable talent was showcased in stunning concert halls, where his name would grace the bill alongside the most prominent composers, songwriters, and noted musicians of the day. Beyond the classical sphere, Andrew’s insatiable curiosity led him to explore a myriad of genres. He ventured into jazz, world music, and even experimental compositions, leaving no stone unturned in his relentless pursuit of musical brilliance. Striving to fuse diverse influences, Andrew brought together cultures and sounds, bridging gaps and connecting people through the universal language of music. Kevin Ricard, PercussionistKevin Ricard’s versatility and musicality are the most important things he brings to each recording or performance. He brings a sense of groove to Rock, Jazz, Pop, and R&B styles and adds authenticity to Afro-Caribbean and Brazilian styles. Whether it’s the Brazilian groove of Sergio Mendes, the timeless music of Stevie Wonder and Lionel Richie, or playing with legends Like Steve Winwood, Kenny Loggins, or the late, great Celia Cruz, Kevin shows he can move smoothly between diverse styles, and why he’s in constant demand. Kevin’s long list of recording credits includes B.B. King, Natalie Cole, Wayne Shorter, Marc Anthony, Kenny Loggins, Queen Latifah, Enrique Iglesias, Jill Scott, and others. Kevin has also performed on a number of movie scores, including The Hangover, Speed, The Addams Family Values, A Bug’s Life, and many more. Kevin’s professional television career includes being a member of the house bands for Dancing with the Stars, America’s Got Talent, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and American Idol. |
Hilary Thomas, Lineage DancerHilary Thomas (Artistic Director), Lineage Dancer grew up in Pasadena and trained with the Pasadena Dance Theatre under the direction of Philip and Charles Fuller and Cynthia Young. She earned degrees in dance and psychology from Santa Clara University and continued her dance training with the Joffrey Ballet. Hilary also danced with Western Ballet in Mountain View and Benita Bike’s Dance Art Company in Los Angeles. In 1999, Hilary created Lineage Dance, a Lineage Dance company dedicated to raising support and awareness for nonprofit organizations and making the arts accessible to all. Since that time, Lineage Dance has presented over 300 performances and raised nearly $200,000 for charitable, educational, and nonprofit organizations across the country. In 2010, the company opened the Lineage Performing Arts Center in Old Pasadena as a community hub designed to encourage community awareness through the arts. Hilary has earned various awards for her artistic work in the community: the Beverly Hills Outlook selected her as one of the top choreographers of 2004 and 2005; she received the "Gold Crown Award" from the Pasadena Arts Council in 2006; and she was nominated by "THE" Magazine as one of Pasadena’s top 50 creative artists in 2011. Teya Wolvington, Lineage DancerTeya Wolvington began dancing at the age of twelve when she moved from Portland, Oregon, to Santa Fe, New Mexico. After training in both ballet and modern for six years, she attended the Modern Dance Department at the University of Utah. Upon receiving a B.F.A. in 2005, she moved to Los Angeles and has been dancing professionally ever since. She was a member of Benita Bike’s Dance Art Company for six seasons and has been dancing with Lineage since 2008. Teya is now the proud owner of Core Connection Los Angeles, a private gym located at LPAC, where she does personal core fitness training. She is truly honored to be part of the Lineage family. |
