This is a fun and unique in-person and interactive program from Clazzical Notes designed for pre-K through elementary-school-aged children and their families to experience stories told through movement, percussion, wind, and voice instruments. The program is entertaining and educational and includes a great children’s story narrated by LA Opera Singer, Nani Sinha, with collaboration by internationally acclaimed percussionist, Chris Garcia, performing the “soundtrack” inspired by each story.

​Nani Sinha

German Indian American mezzo-soprano Nandani Maria Sinha is internationally acclaimed for her passionate performances and presence. She is a favorite mezzo- soprano in Southern California, performing regularly with Los Angeles Opera, Long Beach Opera, Santa Barbara Opera, California Philharmonic, and Redlands Symphony. Her 2019-20 season includes: Ruth in Invisible for the Eurydice Found Festival and a  workshop and concert with Renée Fleming (Los Angeles Opera); Hera and Drum in Sweet Land (The Industry); and high demand as a mezzo-soprano and alto soloist on concert works (Azusa Symphony Orchestra and Chorale, Joanna Medawar Nachef Singers, Palisades Symphony, Music at Westwood). She has been a first prize winner of the Franz Liszt International Competition and a Marc and Eva Stern Fellow at Songfest  and a recipient of scholarship prizes from The Opera Buffs and the MET Council. Ms. Sinha’s upcoming engagements include a weekly concert for LA Opera - Music to Remember.

Christopher Garcia

Christopher Garcia is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and educator with critical accolades and popular acclaim in 28 countries on 5 continents with hundreds of performances with a who’s who in the world of music.

For the last 20 years, Christopher has been sharing the information, beauty and resonance of music which was so graciously shared with him, by his mentors, familial, musical, and beyond.

Presenting for all ages, ethnicities, and  cultures cathedrals, churches, colleges, community centers, concert halls, libraries ,mountaintops, performing art centers, riverbeds, schools and universities.

He shares the rhythms and the colours of sound with indigenous breath, string, and percussion instruments of Mesoamerica, along with finger, hand and stick drumming of India, western percussion and ringing metals.

His 6 educational YouTubes currently have over 150,000 visitors and his educational site has 2,000 monthly visitors.

He is also a native of East Los Angeles, a husband, a father of 2,  a grandfather of 3, and a great grandfather of 2.
